About Love And Purrs Sanctuary

Founded in 2019 by Kimberley Dolan. Love and Purrs Sanctuary is dedicated to saving at risk cats and kittens. Current president Shannon West continues the vision and dedication to saving cats and kittens, one purr at a time. Our team of dedicated Fosters help cats and kittens remain out of high kill shelters so they can live in a home environment while waiting for adoption.

North Carolina and Tennessee have some of the highest euthanasia rates for felines in shelters. We strive to match dedicated Foster Care homes with the cats and kittens most in need.

We are always looking for dedicated fosters in the following areas: Winston Salem, NC, Asheville, NC, Haywood County, NC and Tennessee. If you are interested in becoming a dedicated foster for cats and kittens in need please email us.

All cats and kittens are fully vetted before being placed up for adoption. This includes combo testing neg/neg. Age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip.

About President Shannon West

Shannon brings over 7 years of non-profit management experience and finance knowledge to the non-profit. She has been a cat lover for years and proud adopter of five cats from Love and Purrs. Shannon has volunteered for the organization for over a year learning the in's and outs of cat rescue. Her knowledge and experience will build on the foundation that was laid by the founder.

Shannon and the board of directors will continue to be the face and voice for cats and kittens at risk.

The new home base located in Winston Salem, NC will continue to serve Western North Carolina and Tennessee cats and kittens. Shannon has already started to decorate the new primary office with the beloved artwork that was located at the previous site.
